Prior to pursuing her law degree, Vicky worked as a high school history teacher for two years and later, as an immigration caseworker at the International Institute, a nonprofit agency providing educational, immigration, and social services to immigrants. Based on Vicky’s experience at the International Institute, she decided to pursue a law degree with the specific goal of practicing immigration and nationality law.

In 1981, Vicky established a law practice in Ann Arbor. Vicky has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) Michigan Chapter since 1981. She served as Chapter Secretary from 1993 to 1995 and served on the AILA Citizenship and Immigration Services Liaison Committee for several different time periods. Vicky is the longest-practicing female immigration attorney in the State of Michigan.
